Code of Conduct

GENERAL

World Design Festival Powered by Tijuana Design Week requires recognition of a code of conduct that applies equally to directors, organizers, representatives, volunteers and attendees, and does not tolerate harassment in any form. The code of conduct prohibits any form of harassment, including threats or violent language, discriminatory jokes and language, sexually explicit or violent material, and personal insults. All participants must adhere to safe and respectful behavior towards the organizers and other attendees. This code of conduct applies to all physical and virtual spaces managed by TJDW. Violations of this code outside of these spaces may affect a person’s ability to participate in them.

Participants who violate these rules may be banned from any current or future event without refund and/or banned from accessing the online channels at the discretion of the organizers.

OPENNESS AND WILLINGNESS TO CONNECT WITH OTHERS

We invite you to be open and available to connect with others in our vibrant community. Networking can be challenging, but by helping those around you, you will achieve success both personally and for the design community, and most importantly, for our beloved city of Tijuana. Introduce yourself, expand your knowledge and establish valuable relationships during Tijuana Design Week.

Together, we can foster creativity, collaboration and growth in the design world.

BE RESPECTFUL

At Tijuana Design Week, our mission is to foster dialogue and celebrate the design community in the region. We recognize that embracing the diversity of perspectives, experiences and opinions enriches our ability to create meaningful solutions to the challenges we face. We invite you to be open and receptive, listening carefully to the presenters and your fellow attendees. It is important to choose your words carefully, as harassment and any exclusionary behavior are not tolerated or acceptable at our events.

Together, we can build a respectful and enriching environment for all Tijuana Design Week participants. Join us and be part of this unique experience in the design community!

INCLUSIVITY

In design, it is critical to be a community that welcomes and supports people of all backgrounds and identities. This includes, but is not limited to, members of diverse races, ethnicities, cultures, national origin, color, immigration status, social class, education level, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, age, size, family status, political beliefs, religion, and mental and physical abilities.
