San Diego and Tijuana share beautiful landscapes. From the bowl-like form of San Diego’s Cowles Mountain to Tijuana’s Cerro Bola and Otay Mesa, we are connected through diverse geographies. However, polarizing politics has widened the physical division between these two nations. Hence, we would like to propose a 3D topographical puzzle of the San Diego-Tijuana border to be played in a constructed tent. This activation will refocus our attention to the beautiful natural environment that binds us together, not the border that divides. The aim is to bring people together, to have conversation without biasness, to foster a closer knitted community without borders. It is a design that allows the act of play to bring people closer to each other.
