About

Community

San Diego and Tijuana have magnificent sacred buildings that effectively illustrate the history of modern architecture. Leading architects throughout the century designed buildings of the highest quality. Some of these architects had national reputations, such as Irving J. Gill, Richard Neutra, and Charles Moore, others, like Robert Mosher and Robert Wellington Quigley, were local. Together, they have created a wonderfully diverse collection of sacred architecture.  The exhibition will lead viewers through the major architectural movements of the twentieth century and introduce ideas and theology which have shaped sacred buildings in the region and highlight the work of contemporary architectural photographers Maha Bazzari and Darren Bradley.
