On January, 19th, 2024, architecture students, faculty and young professionals from across the region will participate in a design workshop to reimagine the San Diego Civic Center and downtown urban core. Using the Mayor’s Civic Center Revitalization Committee’s ‘Urban Manifesto’ as a starting point, teams will propose a variety of future scenarios for the 6-block site in short ‘design sprints’, before developing a few plans in more detail. The workshop is organized by the Transborder Association for Architectural Education, sponsored by Carrier Johnson + CULTURE and the work will be displayed in a public exhibition in Summer 2024.
Workshop is Invite Only; Exhibition is Free & Open to the Public Information Coming Soon!
