Bi-national artist Maricruz Alvarado designed “Francisco”, an interactive artwork for “Border Blasters Tijuana/San Diego Radio and Television” exhibition at the Bonita Museum & Cultural Center and for IMAC, Municipal Institute for Art & Culture in Tijuana. Maricruz designed her high school bedroom with band posters from La Cruz, “My memories of those times through music follows me, especially moments like sewing and listening to music. Music is an important part of my life, it’s a living memory of my childhood, my family, my friends, fun places, and my art work.” Maricruz used paper-mache and community involvement to create her piece.
