About

Arts & Culture

A dance performance and conversation. Contemporary dance experts will talk about their experiences as creators and cultural promoters in the San Diego-Tijuana region. They will reflect on how binational collaborations have been possible. Three choreographies will be presented that fall into the category of cross-border dances which will address themes of history, border and gender. The event will last approximately one hour and seeks to achieve points of encounter between the participants and the audience. The choreographies will be performed by the company Grupo de Danza Minerva Tapia and by students of the Gloria Campobello School of Dance. The discussion will be led by Minerva Tapia, Jean Isaacs and George Willis.
