This event aims to convene community stakeholders of Friendship Park, a cross-border park located at the western end of the US-Mexico border, to discuss the design of an archive that will preserve and amplify the rich history of this culturally significant site. At the event, we will ask what should be archived and how to make those materials accessible. This archive should tell the full story of Friendship Park, gathering materials from community members, artists, transnational families, and activists. It will create opportunities to educate the public about Friendship Park and show how the border has changed over time.
