On Sunday, September 29, 2024, the San Diego Symphony will welcome the community to experience the newly renovated Jacobs Music Center with “A Day of Music” as part of the opening celebrations of the transformed downtown venue. Beginning at 11:00 a.m., the free, open house invites everyone to enjoy live performances by musical groups from across San Diego, delicious food, engaging activities, all while exploring the revitalized historic home of San Diego Symphony.
Among the groups slated to perform are 1st Marine Division Band Wind Ensemble, Animal Cracker Conspiracy, Ballet Folclórico Jalisciense, Coro “Redes” Sistema estatal de Música de Baja California, Coronado School for the Arts, Joey’s Wings, Mariachi Garibaldi from Southwestern College, Orquesta de Baja California, Project [BLANK], San Diego Children’s Choir, San Diego Public Library, San Diego State University Chamber Choir, San Diego State Community Music School String Academy, San Diego Suzuki School of Music, San Diego Youth Symphony, Sinfónica Juvenil de Tijuana, Villa Musica, Voices of Our City Chorus, as well as musicians from San Diego Symphony.
