Welcome to “Crossing the Line”, a special 12-part series of KidSketch focusing on the interesting and culturally diverse San Diego / Tijuana region during the region’s designation as the World Design Capital in 2024. “Crossing the Line” by KidSketch introduces kids and adults to the benefits of sketching as a way of seeing, understanding, and appreciating the interesting world all around us. Crossing the Line welcomes a different Guest Sketcher each month – and this time we welcome architect Barbara Leon, AIA, of HELEO Architecture and Design in San Diego, to learn from their passion about sketching, how it is integral to both their work and personal life and to explore the firm’s recent project, Insurgente Brewery in the Zona Rio district of Tijuana, B.C.
