Border Blitz at Comic-Con Museum is an exhibition, held in collaboration with the Mexican Consulate in San Diego, that shows the work of three contemporary comic art artists in Tijuana. Charles Glaubitz, Alejandra Yépiz Portillo, and Urbano Mata represent three generations of artists, with a very personal language and imagery, who have found in comics a means of expression and in Tijuana and the border, a space for creation, evolution, and artistic experimentation. From the rich retro-futurist mythology of Glaubitz, to the endearing adventure stories of Yépiz, through the notes and landscapes of Mata, Border Blitz is a reflection and projection of the high contrasts that are experienced in Tijuana as a border city of the XXI century.
